Golf is one of the the 40 sports that will be contested at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam. Golf offers four (4) gold medals - men's individual, women's individual, men's team and women's team events.
Team Vietnam will be represented by nine (9) players - five for the men's events and four for the women's division. The two golfers are only 13 years old and the other one is 14 years old.
The men's team is comprise of Lê Khánh Hưng, Nguyễn Anh Minh, Nguyễn Bảo Long, Nguyễn Đặng Minh and Nguyễn Quang Trí. While the women's team is composed of Đoàn Xuân Khuê Minh, Lê Chúc An, Lê Thị Thanh Thúy and Phạm Thị Yên Vi.
Vietnam is still considering Thailand and the Philippines as the top contenders for the golf events.
Golf will be held in Vĩnh Phúc Province-based Heron Lake Golf Course which is scheduled on May 13 to May 18.
