Only Twelve teams from the first round of the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Pre-qualifier will move on to the second round next year. The teams are divided into two groups - Group E & Group F.
Luckily, three Southeast Asian teams qualified after the four-day competition in the first round held in separate venues - in India and in Mongolia.
Thailand who topped Group D in the first round swept all their games to victory followed by Mongolia who played host for the group and Malaysia who finished third. These top 3 teams in group D qualify for the second round together with the top 3 teams in Group C.
From Group C, going to the seconf round are top performer Guam, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Singapore will join Thailand and Malaysia Asia in Group F for the second round to be held on February 2023.
For Group E, it is composed of Oman, Qatar, UAE, Palestine, Iraq and Kuwait.
