Wushu is one of the forty (40) sports that will be featured in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam.
Host Vietnam has sixteen (16) wushu athletes that will take part of the SEA Games competition to be held at Cầu Giấy Sporting Hall in Hanoi.
The team is composed of seven (7) male and nine (9) female wushu athletes.
Vietnam will rely on experienced wushu athletes. Most notable among the sixteen are Duong Thuy Vi and Pham Quoc Khanh.
Vietnamese male and female players for the sanda events had training sessions in the central Da Nang City, which are preparing for their SEA Games action at the Cau Giay Gymnasium in Hanoi.
The wushu competition will commence on May 13 and will close on May 15 with 21 events including 8 in sanda and 13 events in taolu.
Vietnam collected twelve (12) medals at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines which includes the 3 gold medals - one in taolu and two in sanda events.
